Our Únicla dairy farms have the AENOR Animal Welfare certification and are the first Galician dairies to comply with the necessary requirements to obtain it.
Throughout our enterprise we have distinguished ourselves for being pioneers in production methods, processes and products, as recognised by the ISO 22000 quality standard, which our dairies also boast.
The importance of the AENOR Conform Animal Welfare certificate
The AENOR Conform certificate is based on the European Welfare Quality® reference, and once more shows that we are committed to the welfare of our animals in order to obtain a positive impact on the quality of our products. In addition to assessing the facilities, this new model of certification also assesses different parameters that affect the animals, based on 4 principles: diet, housing, health conditions and cow behaviour.
The accreditation, together with the distinction of receiving First Prize in the European Awards for Cooperative Innovation, summarises the sustainability of our methods, processes and products. This innovation translates into animal welfare, respecting the principles of stabling, food and water provision, and proper attention to the physiological and ethological needs of our animals.
Únicla milk is 100% Galician milk
Únicla is a unique milk for a number of reasons, but above all because it is sourced at the only Galician cooperative that produces, collects and markets cow’s milk and dairy products exclusively from its members’ dairy farms.
Receiving the AENOR certificate for Animal Welfare endorses our task of ceaselessly seeking quality from start to finish, as we are committed to animal welfare and food safety, as we constantly work towards innovation.
